Love this. I took 3 years of piano as a child… I don’t remember how to play or how to read music. Sigh.

This is what John Coltrane’s landmark tune and solo look like when they come to life on paper.

This is one of the coolest things I’ve ever seen

Watching this made me realize just how much of my music rehearsal goes toward memorizing licks in my fingers.  There is just no way to read the music note-by-note every time you play a piece up-to-speed; the music is just there to remind you of where you are in the piece after a while.

Also: SO AWESOME.  I am so excited to be playing my horn again!
